The Colors You Don't See
All human senses perceive only very narrow bands of a stimuli's spectrum.
Human vision operates between 380 to 750 nanometers; what we call “visible” color or light. Most colors are at wavelengths invisible to us. Additionally, the color of an object is the color that the object reflects as it absorbs all remaining colors. Of course your brain has it’s say as the visual cortex performs context-dependent maneuvers based on the color and the intensity of the ambient light to produce an effect of what the color ‘should’ be.

“The Colors You Don’t See” is our attempt to bring these “unseen” colors into the light. Of course they are equally susceptible to the rules of color perception and really only serve to remind us that our senses are extremely limited and tragically self-deceptive.
